Addison Township Community Mental Health Board Approves Budget Request for FY2025

Addison, IL – On May 22nd, 2024, the Addison Township Community Mental Health Board
approved a two-million-dollar budget request, which was sent to the Township Board for
approval for the FY2025. This funding is essential for mental health, intellectual/developmental
disabilities, and substance use services directly aiding township residents.

Next, the Addison Township Community Mental Health Board will craft grant applications and
finalize its three-year plan.

Before the Board’s meeting, Addison Township residents met with community-based providers
like Alive Center, UCP Sequin, Easterseals, Fox Valley Vet Center, and Northeast DuPage
Family & Youth Services to learn about the services and the positive impact of approving the
budget.

In 2022, voters approved the creation of the Addison Township Mental Health Board to address
community needs and fund mental health, intellectual and developmental disability, and
addiction initiatives.
