Are you passionate about improving mental health and wellness in our community?
The Addison Township Community Mental Health Board (708 Board) is seeking dedicated residents to help guide funding decisions and community initiatives that support mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services.

About the Board

The 708 Board plays a vital role in identifying local needs, funding essential programs, and strengthening partnerships that enhance the overall well-being of Addison Township residents.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a resident of Addison Township.
• Members should, as nearly as possible, represent a cross-section of the community, including:
  • Local health departments
  • Medical societies
  • Hospital boards
  • Lay associations concerned with mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use
  • Individuals with lived experience or in recovery
  • The general public
• Members cannot be employees of the Illinois Department of Human Services or receive compensation from any facility or service operating under contract with the board.
• The term of office is four years.
• Applications are reviewed by the Chair of the Mental Health Board and appointed by the Township Supervisor with the consent of the Township Board of Trustees.
• Applications will be considered for current and future vacancies.
