Township Road District Permit Information
When a Permit Is Required
Permits are required for all work within the right-of-way and for some projects on private property.
If your project also requires a DuPage County permit, you may need a Township Road District permit as well.
If you’re unsure whether a permit is needed, call us at (630) 766-2228 or email Brandy Shuey at [email protected].
Work in the Right-of-Way
A permit is always required for any work done in the right-of-way or on the street in front of your property.
Examples include: tree planting and driveway installation or replacement.
Note: Driveway lights and sprinkler systems are not allowed in the right-of-way. They must be installed within your property line.
